Support for Theatre Sheridan and the Canadian Music Theatre Project helps drive the development of new musicals in Canada. Since 2011, 15 new musicals have been workshopped at Sheridan with five going on to have professional premieres and one heading to Broadway in spring 2017. The Canadian Music Theatre Project’s proven track record means your support has an immediate impact to both the music theatre industry and on the training of the next generation of performers who may also become the musical writers of tomorrow.

CMTP Summer Student International Internship

Each year, five Honours Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance students complete an intensive 14-week summer internship that includes workshops and activities in post-secondary and professional theatres around the world. The internship enables students to host and participate in master classes and in knowledge exchanges with students and faculty with diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and to gain a new appreciation for their craft. It also enables them to share the CMTP repertoire and to build international friendships. This year, students will travel to China and Australia.
