What is the timing of the Canadian Music Theatre Project (CMTP) workshops?

The Canadian Music Theatre Project workshops take place in September and early October. They culminate in the Festival of New Musicals which occurs in mid-October.

How do I buy tickets to the Canadian Music Theatre Project Festival of New Musicals?

Tickets can be purchased through the Theatre Sheridan Box Office: tickets.sheridancollege.ca or 905-815-4049.

Are workshops open to the public?

No. Workshops include only creative teams and students. The Festival of New Musical presentations are open to the public. Tickets are available through the Theatre Sheridan Box Office: tickets.sheridancollege.ca or 905-815-4049.

I just submitted a project. When will I be contacted?

Only projects selected to participate in the CMTP will be contacted. Projects are selected in April.

Where is the Canadian Music Theatre Project located?

The Canadian Music Theatre Project is located at Sheridan College’s Oakville campus.

Do all CMTP projects get a run at Theatre Sheridan?

No. One project a year is selected to join the Theatre Sheridan season the following year.

How does the cast get selected for each project?

Creative teams participate in the auditions of all fourth-year students to create their casts.
